Screw in Piles

Sherwood Modular Homes has been offering their clients an excellent structural pile foundation using steel screw in piles. The steel pile with its slide in upper tube allows the home to be driven onto the prepared base on an angle if needed. The home is blocked and the steel inserts are slid up to needed height and welded into place. This pile foundation elliminates the need for anchors and can also elliminate the need for the steel beams under manufactured homes in some cases. The screw in piles offer many advantages such as being able to add more piles if the initial torque ratings show the site's soil does not hold as much weight as initially thought. Screw in piles also elliminate the concrete curing times so the house can be placed the same day as pile installation. Take a look at pictures of our unit in action.
